Man charged in slaying of Fayetteville man
Police say they have a suspect in the killing of a North Carolina man shot after he asked two men arguing in his Fayetteville home to leave because they were making him nervous.

The Fayetteville Observer reported an arrest warrant for first-degree murder was issued Friday for Genesis Whitted Jr., 20, of 812 Glensford Drive, in the Sept. 17 death of Kenneth Underwood, 49.
Police also want to question Rico Lee Miles, 27, of Spaulding Drive. Miles has been named a person of interest, not a suspect in the case.
Detective Gary Womble said that Whitted and a second man were arguing in Underwood's home at 721 Wilma St. They made Underwood nervous and he asked them to leave.
Investigators said the men then began to argue with other people in the front yard, and Whitted pulled a gun from his jacket and fired several shots at the house.
Authorities say Underwood was struck, stumbled out of his home and collapsed in his front yard.
According to state Department of Correction records, Whitted is on probation for six convictions, including felony breaking-and-entering and larceny.
DOC records also list Miles as an absconder from parole supervision. He was released in July after serving 7 years for two armed-robbery convictions.
