Teen charged in Sanford double homicide

Authorities said two men were killed early Saturday morning after a shooting in the 1400 block of Goldsboro Avenue.

SANFORD, N.C. — Authorities said two men were killed early Saturday morning after a shooting in the 1400 block of Goldsboro Avenue.

Randy Curtis Kinney, 35, of Sanford was pronounced dead that the scene, and Shawn Porter Hooker, 37 of Sanford, later succumbed to his injuries at Central Carolina Hospital.

A third victim, Phillip Rayshaun Graham, 28, of Sanford, was shot in his lower legs and treated for non-life threatening injures at UNC-Chapel Hill Hospital, authorities said.

Police charged Namique Shamond Farrow, 18, of 213 Hickory Avenue in Sanford, with two counts of first-degree murder and one count of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill.

Farrow was being held at the Lee County Jail under no bond. His first appearance in court is scheduled for Tuesday.
