Man charged in Raleigh shooting surrenders
A man wanted in connection with a Wednesday morning shooting near downtown Raleigh surrendered to police Friday.

Brandon Daniel Sloan, 23, of 1051 N. Raleigh Blvd., was taken into custody at the Wake County Detention Center on Friday afternoon. He is charged with one count of attempted murder and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon.
A magistrate set a $150,000 bond on the two assault charges, and Sloan was scheduled to appear in Wake County District Court on Monday morning for a bond to be set on the attempted murder charge. The magistrate barred Sloan from contacting the shooting victims.
The charges stem from a shooting at 306 Maple St., near the intersection with Oakwood Avenue and about a block from the campus of St. Augustine's College, in which three people were wounded.
Rashed Amin Green, 27, was shot in the abdomen and hand, Fatima Dar-Salaam Elliott, 29, was shot in the chest, and Bradley Lamont Patterson, 23, was shot in the thigh, police said.
Police said Sloan knew the three victims and that a dispute led to the shooting.
