Man charged in Raleigh SECU robbery

A 43-year-old Raleigh man has been charged in connection with a Monday robbery at the State Employees Credit Union on Louisburg Road in Raleigh.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A 43-year-old Raleigh man has been charged in connection with a Monday robbery at the State Employees Credit Union on Louisburg Road in Raleigh.

Jimmy Earl Godfrey, of 122 Waterstone Lane, Rolesville, is charged with breaking and entering, common law robbery and felony larceny.

Godfrey was taken into custody early Wednesday in the 4500 block of Atlantic Avenue. He was being held at the Wake County jail under a $1 million bond.

No other information about the robbery has been released.
