RALEIGH, N.C. — A Raleigh man is accused of helping suspects avoid arrest in connection with the March 21 shooting death of a Knightdale High School student.

Shelton Monterio Perry, 22, of 5400 Reunion Point, Apt. 203, faces charges of accessory after the fact of murder in the death of Nigel J. Ellison. Kalife I. Johnson, 19, was also wounded in the shooting at Skycrest Drive and Southall Road in Raleigh.

Two suspects – Rajal Amed Wisdom Sr., 54, and his son Rajal Amed Wisdom Jr., 22 – fled before being arrested in Georgia.

The warrants say that Perry lent them a cell phone, lied to law enforcement about their flight and didn't hand over evidence in his possession.

The father, his son and his daughter, Mariah Wisdom, 17, all of 101 Elmridge Drive in Knightdale, face charges of first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder.

Sources have said that the suspects were targeting Johnson, who was in a romantic relationship with Mariah Wisdom.

Perry was being held in the Wake County jail Friday under a $500,000 bond.

Rajal Wisdom Sr. and Rajal Wisdom Jr. were extradited to North Carolina on Wednesday. They and Mariah Wisdom are being held in the Wake County jail without bond.
