Man arrested, charged in Durham drive-by shooting

Durham police arrested a man and charged him in connection with a drive-by-shooting on Angier Avenue last October.

DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police arrested a man and charged him in connection with a drive-by-shooting on Angier Avenue last October.

According to police, investigators arrested 21-year-old Michael D'Lante Gibson in Burlington on Friday. Gibson is charged with attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious bodily injury and possession of a stolen vehicle in connection with the shooting.

Officers said the shooting happened in the 2100 block of Angier Ave. at about 3 p.m. on Oct. 31. Officers found a 50-year-old man and a 25-year-old man had been shot. Both men were taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.

Gibson was placed in the Durham County jail under a $1,270,000 bond.
