WILMINGTON, N.C. — A man who was arrested on Friday in Tennessee for allegedly trying to sell his 5-month-old baby for $3,000 is wanted on multiple charges in Wilmington.
John David Cain, 26, and Deanna Lynn Greer, 37, were charged with aggravated child abuse and aggravated child neglect or endangerment in the incident, according to previous reports. The couple posted an ad on Craigslist, and eventually sold the child to an undercover officer, who arrested them.
Wilmington television station WECT reported that Cain has three outstanding charges in the coastal North Carolina town. Wilmington authorities said Cain is charged with embezzlement, and two charges related to a break-in at a local car dealership.
