Man, 32, injured in west Fayetteville shooting

A 32-year-old man was critically injured early Wednesday in a shooting near the intersection of Northumberland Street and South Reilly Road, Fayetteville police said.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A 32-year-old man was critically injured early Wednesday in a shooting near the intersection of Northumberland Street and South Reilly Road, Fayetteville police said.

Officers responded to the area at about 3 a.m., and the unidentified victim was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Authorities closed South Reilly Road between Cliffdale Road and Northumberland Street following the shooting. 

No arrests have been made, and no other information about the incident has been released.
