Man, 28, killed in Fayetteville shooting; woman sought for questioning

Fayetteville police were searching Saturday night for a 24-year-old woman who is wanted for questioning in connection with the shooting death of a 28-year-old man who died after shots were fired near a home on Torbay Drive.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police were searching Saturday night for a 24-year-old woman who is wanted for questioning in connection with the shooting death of a 28-year-old man who died after shots were fired near a home on Torbay Drive.

According to investigators, shots were fired near the front door of Jahir Alexander Barrios' home at about 9:10 p.m. Friday by an unknown subject. The suspect left the scene.

Barrios was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. Police were searching Saturday for Markisha Pittman, of 5546 Livingston Dr., who is wanted for questioning.

Additional residents, including children, were home at the time of the shooting. No one else was injured, police said.

No arrests have been made in the case. Anyone with information on Pittman's whereabouts or the shooting is asked to call the Fayetteville Police Department at 910-391-2529.
