Lumberton police are investigating a shooting that sent a 19-year-old to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

LUMBERTON, N.C. — Lumberton police are investigating a shooting that sent a 19-year-old to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police responded just after 3:30 p.m. on Friday to a parking lot at 5081 Fayetteville Road. They found Justin Richard Lowry, 19, of Oxford Drive in Lumberton. He was unresponsive in a vehicle. Officials are not sure where Lowry was when he was shot.

Lowry was transported to Southeastern Regional Medical Center.
