Louisburg College President's Resignation Effective Tuesday

LOUISBURG, N.C. — Louisburg College's president has reached an agreement with the Board of Trustees that makes his the resignation effective Thursday.

In a news release, the college said the agreement provides an opportunity for Michael Clyburn to transition to the role as the new president of Alderson-Broaddus College in Philippi, W. Va.

Clyburn, who has been Louisburg College's president since November, submitted his resignation last week and was supposed to stay at the school until June.

A management committee is seeing the school through the transition period, the news release said.

The committee will also lead the college as it immediately begins the search for a new president.
