Lights back on in Johnston County after crash causes outage
Nearly 3,000 Duke Energy customers were without power in Johnston County early Tuesday morning after a car crashed into a power pole.

Nearly 3,000 Duke Energy customers were without power in Johnston County early Tuesday morning after a car crashed into a power pole.
The outage was first reported around 5:30 a.m. Johnston County officials said the crash happened at Covered Bridge Road and Jenson Drive, south of Wendell.
The crash took out the utility pole and caused a transformer to blow.
It is unclear what caused the crash or if there were any injuries.
