This is a huge week for us over at Mix 101.5. For three days starting Tuesday, we’ll be broadcasting live for our 17th Annual Radiothon for Duke Children’s Hospital. Every single penny benefits the kids. No administrative costs and it all stays local.

I’ve been very fortunate that my kids have never been seriously ill. I can’t even imagine the pain that parents of sick kids go through.

Just last week I had to hold down my daughter while she got her vaccinations. Her big, brown eyes filled with tears as she cried out. My heart broke. But she is perfectly healthy. So many kids aren’t. We do it for them. We do it for the moms and dads and brothers and sisters. And we do it because it’s simply the right thing do. We are all family.

Help keep hope alive and make a pledge during our Radiothon for Duke Children’s Hospital. Thank you for your support.
Lynda is the mom of three and co-host of Mix 101.5 WRAL-FM's Bill & Lynda in the Morning. On most weeks, you'll find her here on Go Ask Mom on Thursdays.
