Life and science museum seeks watermelon donations so animals can cool off

Bring a whole watermelon and be entered to win a behind-the-scenes bear tour with the museum's animal department director.

We got some great pictures of Watermelon Day at the Museum of Life and Science on Friday. Lots of animals cooling off with watermelon and lots of kids having a great time watching it all.

The animals will continue to cool off with watermelons this month. And the museum is holding a contest: Bring in a whole watermelon for an animal keeper to share with the museum's animals between now and Aug. 31 and be entered to win a special behind-the-scenes bear tour with the animal department director.
