Lakeview School in Durham locked down while police investigate drive-by shooting

— Lakeview School in Durham was locked down Monday afternoon while police officers investigated a drive-by shooting on Dearborn Drive.

According to authorities, two men were outside a home near the school when shots were fired from a silver vehicle at about 2 p.m. The men ran to the school for help and were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

One of the victims was indented by family members as Jeremy Figueroa.

The lockdown delayed dismissal for students.

    If you stop driving down a road in Durham simply because there was a shooting, you will soon have nowhere left to drive. Maybe moving would be your best option. Now to find a town with no shootings. HMMMMM

    Was driving down that road just several minutes after this happened. Large police presence. Think I will find an alternate route from now on.
