Knightdale police seek help in identifying robbery suspects

Knightdale police are seeking the public's help in identifying two men accused of robbing a convenience store Wednesday afternoon.

KNIGHTDALE, N.C. — Knightdale police are seeking the public's help in identifying two men accused of robbing a convenience store Wednesday afternoon.

According to police, two two men stood outside the ASA Food Mart on Poole Road until it emptied about 4:15 p.m, then they went in and demanded money. One of the men had a semi-automatic chrome handgun, and police said both men should be considered armed and dangerous. 

Witnesses described the men as 25 to 30-year-old black men who stood between 5 feet 8 inches and 6 feet tall. One man was wearing a black hoodie, dark pants and a black toboggan, and the other man wore a dark-colored jacket with a large Ford logo on the back, dark pants and a multi-colored toboggan. Police said both men had on white T-shirts underneath their jackets. 

The two men left the scene in a medium blue Chrysler, which police said may have been a 300M. It had large chrome rims and dark-tinted windows. 

The vehicle was last seen traveling west toward Raleigh on Poole Road. 

Anyone with information about the robbery should call the Knightdale Police Department at 919-217-2261. A reward is being offered for any information leading to an arrest.
