— A Johnston County grand jury on Monday indicted a Kenly man on a felony charge related to food tampering and being caught on a Web cam performing a sex act in his former colleague's office.

George Harold Jones, 68, of 1209-C Abednego Road, was arrested last month on the charge, which is based on General Statutes Section 14-101.11, which prohibits anyone from knowingly distributing any edible substance that contains any other substance that could be damaging to another person's heath.

Paula Parrish, an administrator at Johnston Community College, where Jones used to work, said a Web cam that she had installed in her office captured Jones masturbating in her office last December and, afterward, touching various items on her desk, including gum.

Jones, who was a maintenance worker at the college, retired after Parrish filed a complaint with the college. He has said that he is embarrassed by his behavior and that he does not know why he did what he did.

He is out of jail on $5,000 bond.

He needs to be charged with a felony for food tampering. Anyone posting that this is too much... just let me know the next time you go to a restaurant and I'll take your food in the back room and "taint" it. I'm sure you'll agree that it is perfectly fine and gobble up the man-sauce. Crazy talk. You'd be mad as fire if this happened to you or a loved one.

no body, you need another soap box to rally for the poor victim. Some of us on here know her and you've preached long enough. It's quite possible his perceptions of her could have prevented if she had been perceived as more conservative in her actions and appearance. Don't understand? Ask Mr. Johnson.

It's ok, no body. Apparently Groovy is into that sort of thing. Think about it...if you don't think it's a big deal, then you probably do it too!

"If the victim in this case had been my wife, Mr. Jones would be receiving flower arrangements."

You would be shocked to know the names of public figures, some elected, who have told the Husband that same thing but offered no noted assitance in getting this man brought up on charges. Until WRAL got envolved the Victim was getting the run-around in Johnston County and Jones was charged with this crime 365 days, and to the exact time he was in her office doing this to her. Can't say much about her employer either. Watch and see for yourself how educators get treated in our State. I wish someone would take a poll at JCC, and take it from all the employees. Lynn Austin said they were better off now than before the 2007 President of the year came to JCC in 1999. Let's let the employees speak for their self Ms Lynn. I hope nothing like happened to Ms Parrish ever happens to you. God be with you. A little prevention wil go a long way at JCC in their future.

"Isn't the food tampering charge going a bit too far? Get over it"
    Do what?
Touching your penis with gum and secretly leaving it for a woman to chew
Are you serious, or a family member
    Which is it
