Johnston County woman leads authorities on 2-county chase

Posted June 12, 2008

— A Johnston County woman led authorities on a chase through two counties early Thursday.

Deputies responded to a call after Nancy Chambers’ house on Patterdale Place in Benson caught fire. They realized there were four warrants for her arrest, officials said.

Chambers took off in a truck, and deputies chased her into Wake County, where Raleigh and Garner police helped. Officers threw out stop-sticks to puncture the truck's tires, and the chase ended on Hammond Road in Garner.

Authorities took Chambers to the Johnston County Jail. The cause of the house fire was under investigation.

Warrants accused Chambers of assault on a child under 12, second-degree trespassing, assault by pointing a gun and communicating threats. Additional charges were pending, including felony fleeing to elude arrest and various traffic violations.

The sad thing is this woman has major issue's, she set her own house on fire, led a police chase and was released the next day! And is now tearing her husbands family apart one by one. She was the one hitting her husband, went to authorities and told them the opposite... even after having to admit in court that she made up everything about 2 other charges she "created" against others. When are the cops going to do something about these kind of people and not listen to their insanity!

Now wait a minute, if she had outstanding warrants on her and the authorties knew her address, why wasn't she picked up before the fire? Hmmmm, just something to consider.
