Posted — UpdatedRALEIGH, N.C. — More than 20,000 people are expected this weekend at the RBC Center for the "Remain Close to Jehovah" convention.
Raleigh's three-day conference is free, open to the public and among 357 Jehovah's Witness conventions planned across the United States this summer.
Sessions will focus on enhancing family communication, protecting spirituality and keeping a close relationship with God.
“That's the source of happiness in our lives, as well as the spiritual well-being, and so these conventions and the program is designed to remain close to our creator,” Jehovah's Witness Richard Wendt said.
More than 127 congregations from across central and eastern North Carolina are represented at the conference.
