CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — For a few hours Thursday evening, the playroom at the North Carolina Children’s Hospital was a place to dance like no one was watching.

It was prom night for patients of all ages – complete with a photo booth.

Zach Miazga, a 18-year-old Harnett Central High School senior, is a man of few words, but he did enjoy the photo booth and dancing with the ladies.

“It’s cool,” he said.

The prom night was sponsored by the University of North Carolina Pediatric Humanism Society.

“It’s really cool to be able to provide that occasion for people here,” said Evan Sherwood, a UNC senior. “I love it.”

Later on, Miazga let a reporter in on his secret.

“Well, I am a bit of a jabber jaw at school with the girls,” he said. “If you bring a girl here I’d be talking more with the girl than to you.”
