Investigators shut down meth lab in Stedman

Cumberland County sheriff's investigators have shut down a methamphetamine lab in Stedman and are searching for its owner.

STEDMAN, N.C. —  Cumberland County sheriff's investigators have shut down a methamphetamine lab in Stedman and are searching for its owner.

On July 16, deputies discovered what they say was a large-scale operation capable of producing large amounts of meth.

Joseph Allen Timpe, 32, who also lives at the residence, is wanted on charges of manufacturing methamphetamines, possession of precursor chemicals and maintaining a dwelling to sell and deliver meth. He could face additional charges.

Anyone with information about Timpe's whereabouts is urged to contact the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office at 910-323-1500.
