I-95 South reopened after Northampton wreck

Interstate 95 South has been reopened after a wreck in Northampton County, just south of the Virginia border, Sunday afternoon.

PLEASANT HILL, N.C. — Interstate 95 South has been reopened after a wreck in Northampton County, just south of the Virginia border, Sunday afternoon.

Troopers said a medical helicopter was called out to ferry injured people from the wreck, which happened shortly before 1 p.m. near mile marker 178 and N.C. Highway 46. More details weren't available.

The state Department of Transportation website showed that I-95 South was closed for more than an hour after the wreck.
