— All southbound lanes of Interstate 95 were closed north of Fayetteville Monday night after a tractor-trailer's engine blew up and sent oil spewing all over the highway.

No one was injured when the truck jack-knifed and ran off the side of the road, leaving about 900 feet of spilled oil on the interstate.

A second tractor-trailer slipped on the oil, jack-knifed as well and came to a halt in the middle of the highway.

The road was closed for several hours while crews cleaned up the mess.

Should charge the driver, i promise you the engine gave ample warning before coming apart. It didnt just run nice and quiet and suddenly come apart.

actually it could,an injector or turbo could malfunction causing a piston to burn which could blow oil everywhere.diesels are funny that way
