Hoops and Hops FanFest to be held before NCAA games at PNC Arena
Big screen TVs, beer, food trucks and cornhole highlight this event held on Friday and Sunday outside of PNC Arena.
Posted — UpdatedThis free festival will be held Friday and Sunday when the venue is hosting opening rounds of the NCAA men's basketball tournament. It will open two and a half hours prior to the start of each session and between sessions on Friday. Times on Sunday are contingent on the game start-time, which has not been announced.
Hoops and Hops will include:
- Hops House South and Hops House North - Located under the tent on the north and south plazas, this is a great spot for tailgaters to take in some adult beverages, soft drinks and food and watch some NCAA regional games on big screen TVs. You must be 21 years and older to enter this area. The north tent will only be open Friday, unless Sunday game times are later in the day.
- Food Truck Brigade - Located next to the Dail Plaza of Carter-Finley Stadium, this food truck event will feature some of our local favorites (Chirba Chirba, Porchetta) and PNC Arena's own VAB Catering will be serving up their best gameday food. This area is expected to be open on Friday only, unless Sunday game times are later in the day.
- Fan Activity Zone - Located on Dail Plaza of Carter-Finley Stadium, adjacent to the Food Truck Brigade, this area will have cornhole and basketball hoops.
- Game Watch - Catch up on NCAA regional games on the video wall outside of the box office.
