Holly Springs man indicted for making bomb threats

A Wake County man was indicted Wednesday for making bomb threats to a women's shelter where his wife had gone for help.

HOLLY SPRINGS, N.C. — A Wake County man was indicted Wednesday for making bomb threats to a women's shelter where his wife had gone for help.

According to police, Jonathan Jeffcoat, 31, of Holly Springs, called Harbor, Inc., in Smithfield on Jan. 17 and Jan. 19. He threatened to blow the shelter up if his ex-wife, who he believed to be there, did not call him back.

Police believe the threats were false.
