HOLLY SPRINGS, N.C. — The Town of Holly Springs is considering a ban on what residents can leave in the street overnight.

The ban would include items like basketball hoops, mulch, bicycles and hockey goals.

“Cars are driving down the street and police may need to get through,” Councilwoman Linda Williams said. “If there’s a real emergency, they have to stop, remove the obstacle and then move forwards.”

Council members said people have complained about items left in the street.
