Hoke authorities investigate stolen goods-for-tattoos scheme

Hoke County deputies searched two Raeford homes Friday in connection with an investigation into tattoos being provided to juveniles in exchange for stolen goods, authorities said Monday.

RAEFORD, N.C. — Hoke County deputies searched two Raeford homes Friday in connection with an investigation into tattoos being provided to juveniles in exchange for stolen goods, authorities said Monday.

During the searches at 135 Malloy St. and 306 Autry Loop, deputies seized a 46-inch flat-screen television, several firearms, tattooing equipment and other goods, authorities said.

Charges of breaking and entering, larceny and possession of stolen property are pending against several people, including juveniles, authorities said.
