Henderson teen arrested, charged with murder

A 17-year-old Henderson man was arrested and charged Wednesday with murder.

HENDERSON, N.C. — A 17-year-old Henderson man was arrested and charged Wednesday with murder.

Kyshaun Leondree Norrell, of 640 Ransom Street, was charged with first-degree murder, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, two counts of discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle, discharging a firearm on educational property and discharging a firearm in the city limits.

Norrell was placed in the Vance County jail under no bond. His first court appearance is scheduled for Sept. 8.

Norrell is accused of shooting Quincy Gregory, 29, and Amil Davis, 33, in a school parking lot on the 600 block of West Rockspring Street in Henderson on Sunday. Both men showed up at Maria Parham Medical Center with gunshot wounds.

Davis was treated and released. Gregory was transferred to Duke University Medical Center, where he died on Wednesday.
