Help Sought in Solving Cary Cell Phone Burglary

Police on Friday asked the public for help in identifying two thieves who stole dozens of cell phones from a local store last week.

CARY, N.C. — Police on Friday asked the public for help in identifying two thieves who stole dozens of cell phones from a local store last week.

Eighty-four cell phones, valued at a total of $20,000, were taken from Capitol Cellular & Satellite, 1915 High House Road, between 7 p.m. April 23 and 9 a.m. April 24, police said. The culprits broke the front glass door to enter the store and loaded the phones into a trash can before exiting the business, police said.

One thief is described as a white male wearing a blue baseball cap with writing, dark blue gloves, blue jeans, a dark windbreaker and black shoes. The second thief is described as a white male wearing a gray hat, light blue gloves, a long-sleeve shirt with light and dark purple stripes, gray pants with a blue stripe down the leg and white tennis shoes.
