The state Highway Patrol on Tuesday asked for any witnesses to a fatal wreck in Wayne County over the weekend to come forward.

<b>GOLDSBORO, N.C.</b> — The state Highway Patrol on Tuesday asked for any witnesses to a fatal wreck in Wayne County over the weekend to come forward.

A 2006 Honda motorcycle and a 2002 Suzuki SUV collided on U.S. Highway 13 at about 1:30 p.m. Sunday, authorities said. The motorcycle rider, Nicholas Ryan Melvin, of 121 Holly Brook Lane in Dudley, was killed in the wreck.

The SUV was driven by Joshua Lance Chrisman, of Slow James Road in Mount Olive.

Anyone with information about the wreck is asked to call the Highway Patrol at 919-731-7960 or 800-662-7956.
