GREENSBORO, N.C. — Infants in the neonatal intensive care unit at the Women’s Hospital of Greensboro remain free of flu symptoms after a respiratory therapist may have exposed them to the virus, the hospital announced Tuesday.

More than 30 infants were quarantined and treated with Tamiflu as a precaution after the worker was found to have treated an adult patient who tested positive for the H1N1 virus. H1N1 is also known as the swine flu.

Seven of the infants have been discharged from the hospital. The others remain symptom-free, the hospital said.
