<b>CREEDMOOR, N.C.</b> — Flextronics Ltd. plans to shutter a Granville County plant that makes, among other things, Redbox DVD rental kiosks.

The Singapore-based company filed notice of the plant closure last week with the state Department of Commerce. The notice states that the Creedmoor plant will close by the end of February, putting 157 people out of work.

There was no word on the reason for the closure.

Flextronics last May celebrated the production of its 25,000th Redbox kiosk from the plant, and officials called the milestone a testament to the strong partnership between the two companies.
