Near-perfect weather, yummy food and plenty of family fun helped attendance on the final weekend of the N.C. State Fair.
Posted — UpdatedRALEIGH, N.C. — Near-perfect weather, yummy food and plenty of family fun helped attendance on the final weekend of the N.C. State Fair.
More than 266,000 people went through the gates on Saturday and Sunday, helping make 2016 the second-most attended fair on record with 1,028,364 visitors.
Sunday's attendance (116,041) was a record for the final day and Saturday's mark of 150,747 was the second most on record.
The record for overall attendance was set in 2010, when 1,091,887 people attended the Fair.
