Goldsboro slaying suspect still at large

One of the suspects in the shooting death of a Goldsboro woman was in the Wayne County Jail on Tuesday while a second person remained at large.

GOLDSBORO, N.C. — One of the suspects in the shooting death of a Goldsboro woman was in the Wayne County Jail on Tuesday while a second person remained at large.

Authorities had arrested Anthony Dwayne Jackson, of 408 N. Leslie St., in Miami and returned him to Wayne County on Monday.

Police were looking for John Oscar Mumford, of 601 Whitted Court. He is also charged with the Feb. 24 shooting Barbara Ann Bandy, 42.

Bandy was found in a vehicle on the 300 block of North Leslie Street, and she died two days later at Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
