Goldsboro police investigate shooting death

Police on Monday continued to investigate a weekend shooting in Goldsboro that left one man dead and a second one wounded.

GOLDSBORO, N.C. — Police on Monday continued to investigate a weekend shooting in Goldsboro that left one man dead and a second one wounded.

Officers responded to the South Slocumb Street and Wayne Avenue area on Saturday and found that Marcus Andre Griffin, 28, of Mulberry Street in Goldsboro, had been shot several times.

Griffin was taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Curtis Maurice Graham, of Keystone Place in Durham, was shot in the arm and was taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Police haven't released other information about the incident, such as a possible motive or suspect descriptions.
