Goldsboro homeowner helps police nab break-in suspect
Goldsboro police arrested a man on breaking and entering charges Monday morning after a homeowner was able to identify the suspect and his vehicle.
Posted — UpdatedGOLDSBORO, N.C. — Goldsboro police arrested a man on breaking and entering charges Monday morning after a homeowner was able to identify the suspect and his vehicle.
The homeowner told Officer Richard Nash that he interrupted the break-in at 1705 E. Pine St. and startled the alleged thief.
Officers later stopped a vehicle that matched a description the victim gave police, and the homeowner identified the driver as the person he saw.
Christmas Whitfield, 20, of 506 C3 E. New Hope Road, faces a charge of attempted breaking and entering. His bond was set at $5,000.
