RALEIGH, N.C. — Residents who live in Raleigh's Five Points neighborhood said Sunday's car crash at Lilly's Pizza was not the first of its kind in the area.

Before 11 p.m., a white sedan went over the curb in front of Lilly's Pizza, located at 1813 Glenwood Avenue. Officials told WRAL News two people suffered minor injuries and some patio furniture was damaged.

The victims were likely dining outside the restaurant at the time of the crash.

The driver, Cassidy Lori Stone, 20, of Cary, was charged with driving while impaired.

Officials with the North Carolina Department of Transportation say, over the last three years, 23 million drivers have passed through the Five Points area of Glenwood Avenue.

According to a crash report, there have been 47 wrecks in the area, mostly involving property damage.

But of the 47 crashes, speeding was only a factor in four. Most of the crashes were caused by rear-ending and cars running off the road.

The 47 car wrecks totaled about $167,000 in damage.

Six accidents in the past three years also involved drugs or alcohol.
