An 8-year-old girl who was reported missing Thursday from Lucile Souders Elementary School in Fayetteville has been found safe, the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office said.

Leniyah Parker was at her grandmother's house, authorities said.

Around 3:30 p.m., the girl was standing in front of the school when a woman picked her up and drove off. The sheriff's office has identified that woman, but are not released any details about her relationship to the girl.

Weird! Sounds like someone doesn't even know where this child is supposed to be? Like maybe the one that reported her missing?? Don't any of them communicate?

Did they not realize what Grandma looked like?

Why were staff not on site watching what the kids are doing? The kids shouldn't be allowed to just walk off and get into whatever car they want, unsupervised. And, for most schools you have to be an authorized person to pick up a child.

I would think an Amber Alert would be in order as long as the mother and father, or whomever has custody, says that nobody is supposed to have the child.
