Girl, 10, hit by car in downtown Raleigh

Raleigh, N.C. — A 10-year-old girl was injured after being hit by a car on Edenton Street Friday afternoon.
The girl darted into traffic at 908 Edenton St. around 3 p.m., said Jim Sughrue, a Raleigh police spokesman.
Sughrue said the girl was not seriously injured but was taken to a local hospital as a precautionary measure.
