DURHAM, N.C. — Pythons, alligators and even scorpions are the unlikely ingredients in burgers this month at Bull City Burger and Brewery in Durham.

Every March, they celebrate Exotic Meat Month by offering burgers made from various meats. Last week, alligator and python burgers were available. On Monday, they served a burger made from a Prodigal Farm goat from Rougemont topped with a tzatziki yogurt sauce. We heard that another burger containing a mixture of bugs will be on sale soon.

Many of the folks we talked to last week said the alligator burgers were really tasty, especially with that creole sauce on top!

Some of the exotic meat burgers being served this March at Bull City Burger and Brewery in Durham.
Some of the other exotic meats being served this month: reindeer, caribou, elk, llama, antelope, boar and Rocky Mountain oysters. Follow their Twitter and Facebook accounts for daily updates on what exotic burgers are available.
Try them all and save your receipts to receive an Exotic Meat Month T-shirt.
The sandwiches, of course, are in addition to Bull City's regular beef burgers.
What exotic burger would you be willing to try?
