Gas odor reported at NCSU dining hall
North Carolina State University police responded to a strong gas odor at a dining hall on campus on Tuesday.
Posted — UpdatedRALEIGH, N.C. — North Carolina State University police responded to a strong gas odor at a dining hall on campus on Tuesday.
Police said a man working on the elevator in Clark Dining Hall, 221 Jensen Drive in Raleigh, noticed a strong gas smell near the kitchen and alerted authorities around 6 p.m.
University police said the odor was caused by a problem with a gas stove in the dining hall.
The problem was resolved by 8 p.m.
The dining hall was empty because students are still out on winter break.
