Garner police searching for suspect in armed robbery

Police said that a man entered Tienda Hispana El Triunfo at 103 Vandora Springs Road at about 12:30 p.m. displaying a dark colored handgun and demanding money.

— Garner police are seeking public assistance in identifying a man they said robbed a store Tuesday afternoon.

Police said that a man entered Tienda Hispana El Triunfo at 103 Vandora Springs Road at about 12:30 p.m. displaying a dark colored handgun and demanding money. The man then left with an undisclosed amount of cash and got into a black, two-door Honda or similar car.

The man is described as being between 18 and 20 years of age with a close haircut and no facial hair. He was last seen wearing a white hooded sweatshirt with the letter “A” on it, dark jeans, white shoes, and possibly a red bandana.

    He apparently also has no face. The hoodie he is wearing, may be more identifying than his mug.
