Garner police are searching for a man who walked into a gas station and shot a 37-year-old man.

A Garner man is recovering from his injuries after being shot Monday while inside a gas station, police said.

Garner police said Tuesday they are searching for a man who walked into the Wilco Hess gas station at 4541 Jones Sausage Road about 8 p.m. and shot Jeffrey Murray, 37.

The assailant took Murray's wallet before running out of the store.

Police said the victim's injuries were not life threatening.

Investigators are asking anyone with information to call them at 919-772-8810.
