— Wake County sheriff's investigators have charged a Garner firefighter with one count of possession of a weapon of mass destruction.

Jason Bellissimo, 36, of Raleigh, was arrested Tuesday on the charge. Details of the arrest weren't immediately available.

Garner Fire and Rescue Chief Matthew Poole said Wednesday that Bellissimo is on administrative duty while the fire department conducts an internal investigation.

Bellissimo has been with the fire department since October 2010. According to the department's website, he is a lieutenant with Station 4.

Obviously there is little story to tell or there would be more information. WMD is a broad term, you can even be charged if you have certain household cleaners/chemicals in an "occupied space" well, what about Home Depot? One can go in and buy all they need for an ill perceved device yet they are not being charged with a crime. Let the ENTIRE story come out before you judge!

A weapon of mass destruction can be a rifle with a 15.9" barrel when a 16" barrel is legal.
