Garner father accused of beating 9-month-old

A Garner man faces child abuse charges after being accused of fracturing the skull of his 9-month-old child.

GARNER, N.C. — A Garner man faces child abuse charges after being accused of fracturing the skull of his 9-month-old child.

Jason Wardlow, 38, of 7109 Flat Creek Court, Garner, faces two counts of intentional child abuse inflicting serious bodily injury.

In addition to a skull fracture, according to an arrest warrant, Wardlow also allegedly caused brain bleeding.

The warrant specifies the date of the alleged offenses as being between June 20 and Aug. 27. It provides no other details, including the sex of the child.

Wardlow was arrested Friday and jailed under a $100,000 bond. His first court appearance is scheduled for Monday morning.
