Fremont man shot by SWAT sniper faces felony charges
A Fremont man shot by a SWAT team sniper after a domestic disturbance in early September faces five felony charges.

James Gary Moskos, 39, of 220 Miller Road, was released from Duplin General Hospital Friday and placed in the Wayne County Detention Center.
He was charged with three counts of assault with a deadly weapon and one count each of second-degree kidnapping and discharging a weapon into occupied building. He was given a $200,000 secured bond.
Investigators with the Wayne County County Sheriff's Office said that Mosko's wife hid from him in their neighbors' closet on Sept. 2. Authorities said Moskos shot through the neighbors' door, threatened to kill the husband and shot him in the hand, then chased his wife when she ran.
Deputies said that when they arrived, Moskos fired twice and yelled at them, then drove a truck around them. A sniper fired a bullet into the truck's front front grill, which then went through the motor and into the passenger area, where it struck Moskos, authorities said.
He has three previous misdemeanor convictions for resisting an officer from 2003, according to state Department of Correction records.
