A Franklin County woman was charged Wednesday in the fatal shooting of her husband, sheriff's department officials said. 

<b>LOUISBURG, N.C.</b> — A Franklin County woman was charged Wednesday in the fatal shooting of her husband, sheriff's department officials said. 

According to investigators, Charlyn Logan shot Wayne Logan in the neck Tuesday night during an argument at the couple's home on Ruby Lane in Louisburg. 

Deputies responding to the home at about 10:30 p.m. found Wayne Logan dead. 

Charlyn Logan was charged Wednesday with first-degree murder and placed in the Franklin County jail. 

Investigators said the couple had been drinking and arguing prior to the shooting.
