Four caught trying to break out of Wayne jail
Four inmates in the Wayne County Detention Center were caught Sunday trying to chisel their way out, authorities said.

Joseph Wilson Hasty, 22, Joseph Decore Simms, 25, Karcellius Tyquan Sutton, 21, and Derajay Speede Williams, 18, were all charged with felony escape.
Wayne County Sheriff's Office Capt. Robert Thaxton said the inmates removed a piece of metal from a shower area in the jail and tried to chisel the mortar around some cinder blocks in the cell wall.
"Pounding on a jail cell wall creates a lot of noise, so our officers were right on top of it," Thaxton said. "They (the inmates) never breached the wall."
Williams has been in the jail since April, facing two counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon and one count of assault with deadly weapon inflicting serious injury. He also faces a murder charge in Greene County.
Sutton has been in jail since December 2013 on a charge of attempted murder.
Simms has been in jail since April on charges of kidnapping, robbery, possession of stolen goods, injury to personal property, larceny and a probation violation.
Hasty has been in jail since last Thursday on charges of breaking and entering a motor vehicle, larceny and financial card fraud.
