FORT BRAGG, N.C. — Despite complaints about dirty water making people sick at Fort Bragg, officials said Friday that an investigation has turned up nothing wrong with the water on post.

Reports of brown or gray water surfaced on on social media Thursday, but officials said no soldiers or family members had gone to Womack Army Medical Center complaining of stomach aches, nausea or diarrhea.

Flushing the water system might cause discoloration, but the two utilities that serve Fort Bragg – the Harnett County Department of Public Works and the Fayetteville Public Works Commission – said they're not scheduled to perform any flushing maintenance to any of their systems until March 1.

Fort Bragg utilities manager Brannon Richard said neither the post nor its two water providers had received any water quality complaints as of Friday morning.

No water advisories have been issued.
