Danny Dixon, who served as Fayetteville’s police chief from 1976 to 1984, passed away on Christmas Eve in Charlotte, city officials announced Friday.
A private reception and funeral will be held Saturday. Dixon will be buried at Lafayette Memorial Park on Ramsey Street. The police department will present a full color guard at the service.
